Going Melayu with local veg, Sayur Lodeh. Ive been told Lodeh is actually Javanese in origin, tho it’s made all over Singapore and Malaysia by all ethnicities; it’s made with so much variation, ive eaten one with black fungus and babat (the stomach lining of the cow) and jelly noodles, ive eaten one that had prawns, and now I’ve just made one that included courgette and potato. #Melayu #jawa #Lodeh #malayfood #sayur #vegetables #coconutmilk #oniongarlicginger #middleeast
